Finally rain (again)

Do you like the sound of rain?

At first you don’t understand where the sound is coming from, until you realize it’s the rain.

When you look through your windows, you see the raindrops. You then get moves to the sound. By then you really get that it’s raining.

Then the sounds stop for a while. You think: where did it go? Then the rain comes back even louder than before. Just to state it’s here to stay for a while.

The rain often re-color your view. Sometimes the rain makes all colors more clear and clean. Sometimes the rain makes the view blurred and everything is in grey scale.

When the rain really want to make big noice, the thunder is hired. The colors then become really purple and dark blue. With a touch of angry light yellow zig zag 🙂

But the rain can also move quite quiet and sensitive. With thin lines that we almost aren’t able to see. A beautiful rain if you ask me. Maybe my favourite rain.

  1. Yes, it des make the colors brighter and cleaner. On cloudy days the color of the flowers are so bright and colorful. It just rained while ago here. Oh boy! Hard rain with heavy wind! Now it’s all calm. Just love rainy days!

  2. When all is said and done, it’s the physical and mental well-being of a person that can appreciate or depreciate rain or shine, acts of nature are a blessing for a happy man, but rain can mean sheer misery for a homeless person – different individuals, different views!

  3. Rained literally all day here today. I longed to be lounging on my front porch swing letting the patter on the metal roof lull me off to a nap. Did I mention I daydream….a lot?

        1. Me too, but I wish some of the ideas that I get those times would stay in my mind so that I could draw or paint them. But I’m hopeless in remembering good ideas.

          1. I know, right? They come and they go. I’ve likened it to looking directly at a lightning strike. It’s so bright yet fleeting. It leaves an indelible imprint on your vision for a second then, poof, it’s gone. Dang, I know what you mean.
