Maybe something like – “Stop trying to make me bigger, brighter, more colourful. Don’t pick me or cut me, let me appear then fade away when I am ready. See and smell what I am. No more.”

If I was a flower, I would have a huge ego. I would say: Yes, I know I’m beautiful. I know I smell like heaven. And you, human, will never smell or look as beautiful as me. So if you want to stare, go right ahead. I’m used to it. 🙂
