What if we could save time, like we save money in a piggy bank.
Wouldn’t it be nice to turn time bank upside down and pour out extra time for fun moments?
Or take that saved time and give it to someone who really needs more time.
But, on the other hand I think we probably wouldn’t handle the time fair and right if we could save time. We would probably handle time like we handle money.

Thanks, and I think so too. I also think there’s more thoughts about saving time. I will probably come back to this subject in future posts.

I had never really noticed how many sayings there are connected with time:
running out of time
ahead of time
in good time
take time
the big time
small time
have time on hands
have time to kill
in the right place at the wrong time
in less than no time (my favourite)
have a whale of a time
There seem to be endless sayings about time! People must think about time a lot.

I experienced that too when I started to paint my time-pictures. I didn’t think there were so many time expressions, but there are endless!

Think you’re right. We would misuse Time even if we had the power to do so. But it does sound like an exciting prospect!

I’ve always wished to have 2 more hours in my day than everyone else.

Anna, I do so love your work and the puffin was adorable but the one on saving time my favourite. I will have to come back to it as it speaks to me! I’ve put the post on my LinkedIn and have also sent a link to two friends, Christine is in England and Kath in Australia. Kath does amazing illustrations!

I’m really glad when people like my art. The art grows when it finds other viewers than myself.

Love this post and the art work. Have you ever heard Jim Croce’s song “Time in a Bottle”?
Here is the first part of the lyrics:
Time in a Bottle
If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I’d like to do
Is to save every day till eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you. (There is more to the song…)
It’s a great song – kind of sad!

I’d love to be able to retrieve additional time. But you’re right, as humans, we’d probably selling it on the black market for a profit

Come to think of it. We do save time in a way. In our memories 😉
