Speak Swedish!

Learn Swedish – it’s easy 🙂

I’m not kidding. You will learn Swedish in a hurry. At least a few words.
These words for an example:

Swedish(English)

Cash (Cash)
Pizza (Pizza)
laptop (laptop)
jetlag (jetlag)
tennis (tennis)
golf (golf)
winter (vinter)
ipad (ipad)
iphone (iphone)
boss (boss)

Ten words to learn in Swedish, that wasn’t so difficult, or?

I’m not kidding, I could probably do this trick in Deutsch and other language too. We have a lot of words, that we borrowed from other languages.

And the world is getting smaller, as Jim pointed out in a comment, so maybe all our languages gonna look a like in the future. Maybe we finally get a world language, that belongs to everybody.

That would be awesome, I think.

  2. Wow, this is really difficult if you are German. I’ll add the German word after the English one 🙂

    Cash (Cash) Cash
    Pizza (Pizza) Pizza
    laptop (laptop) Laptop
    jetlag (jetlag) Jetlag
    tennis (tennis) Tennis
    golf (golf) Golf
    winter (vinter) Winter
    ipad (ipad) ipad
    iphone (iphone) iphone
    boss (boss) Boss

See how difficult this is? Capital letters are important to us so we make sure to use them often 🙂

By the way, a mobile phone we call Handy (yes, English pronounciation)

    1. That’s so interesting how many words we have in common. I think half of Swedish language is originally from german words by the way. Handy is in Swedish mobil or nalle (teddybear). The nalle-word comes from cellphones early years when they were stuck to yuppies head. Then we called the phones “yuppie bears”.
