Valentine’s Day Swedish love songs 1

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all. Here’s a great Swedish love song about how it feels to finally meet the right one, but I think that lyric also tells how it feels to meet a friend for your life, maybe when you first see your kids or a pet or something or someone else that you just know you’re gonna hold on for the rest of your life. I google translated the lyrics for you, se below the Swedish lyrics/Anna

Åsa Jinder och Cajsa-Stina Åkerström

Av längtan till dig (Longing for you)

Google translation:

In an eternity, I lived as if you were
In all the dreams you were still close
so wonderfully close
And I thought I found you
but you were somewhere else
Every time I found someone
I saw that the dream was not true

Think of all the fathoms I left, longing for you
Because I thought you were waiting for me
All the days that I wandered sad and tired
To meet the most beautiful man I’ve ever met

It was simple and nice
you said you expected me
I could sense that there was a heaven
on earth I saw the
And you asked me to live
my life is always close to you
I followed your steps and all I ever
dreamed there for me

Think of all the fathoms I left, longing for you
Because I thought you were waiting for me
All the days that I wandered sad and
tired
To meet the most beautiful man I’ve ever met

There is no one who attracted
my heart is so wonderful
With all your affection, you grief and pain
slowly disappear
All shadows,
all darkness once so obvious
It dissipated, and together we see the light,
rising with the sun’s momentum

Think of all the fathoms I left, longing for you
Because I thought you were waiting for me
All the days that I wandered sad and tired
To meet the most beautiful man I’ve ever met

Think of all the fathoms I left, longing for you
Because I thought you were waiting for me
All the days that I wandered sad and tired
To meet the most beautiful man I’ve ever met.

    1. I’m having a great day actually, thank you. I have manage to find time for my artmaking today and also a little time for catch up reading blogs. Over at Thumbup I found out that I was psychopathic, that was a surprise LOL!

    1. It’s a Swedish old instrument called key fiddle.

Åsa Jinder is a “riksspeleman” which is a honor title for very good instrument players in Sweden. She was the youngest key fiddle musician ever who got the title when she got it. She’s done lots of beautiful music for key fiddle.

  1. Utterly charming. Sometimes, even when you don’t understand the words, the meaning comes shining through and this is one of those times. I’ve saved it to my YouTube library so I can enjoy it again and send the link to a Swedish cousin living in America. Thank you, Anna. 🙂

    1. I’m glad the music can reach out even if the words are a puzzle to understand. If you one day learn swedish you will find the lyrics absolutely beautiful 🙂

      1. The words may be a puzzle but their meaning, I believe, transends. That one song I sent you the link for sounds like what I might expect to hear in an enchanted garden… 😉
