Curling ice day

Jims comment, when I told about the weird winter weather we have over here in Sweden right now, gave me a idea for a drawing. 

One day it’s raining and the next day it’s freezing. That makes our streets and walks look like invisible curling ice. 

When Jim heard about that he asked if I had the curling stone and broom ready. Those word suddenly made me see a picture of a temporary curling street in my little town.

    1. I know what you mean. It’s a very interesting game. Our little country Sweden actually won a medal in one OS curling tournament a couple of OS ago.

            1. When I was younger I skied a lot, both downhill and horizontal (don’t remember what the term is in English). We had real winters back then in Sweden.

            2. It’s called Cross-country skiing here.
              Are your winters changing Ann ? Are they shorter, longer or more severe?

            3. They are more snowless,warmer,shorter, but on the other hand some years can be full of snow, cold and long. When I was a kid in the 70’s it was snowy winters every year from november-march/april. Now it’s snowy a day or too, then it rains, then it gets cold again and so on.

            5. It is. Weird and probably more scary than we think. I like that it isn’t -20 degree ? But I wonder what the warm weather do to Mother Earth.

    1. Exactly. I’m not found of shovelling snow, but I like building things with snow. I don’t like cold weather, but if I can stay inside in the warmness I think winter landscapes are beautiful.

          1. I’m glad these translators exist. The only Swedish words I know are Tack, naalbinding and björk. Would make for strange conversation 🙂

            1. Maybe. But I think we have lots of words from deutch in the Swedish language, so without knowing it, you might know more Swedish words.
