Simmande havsörn – Swimming white-tailed eagle

Har ni någongång sett en simmande havsörn? Inte jag heller förrän här om dagen. Långt ut i havsbandet fick vi i kikaren se att havsörnen som cirklat runt några sjöfågelkobbar på jakt efter frukost plötsligt låg i vattnet och simmade. Jag visste inte att havsörnar kunde simma men jag googlade fram en film på youtube som visar att de är utmärkta simmare. Simturen vi såg gav resultat. Minst 11 stycken havsörnar delade på frukostbytet ute på havskobben.

Have you ever seen a swimming white-tailed eagle? Me neither until the other day. Far out at sea we could see a eagle looking for breakfast and suddenly the eagle was in the water swimming. I didn´t know they could swim. But I googled and found a youtube movie showing an excellent swimmer. The swimming eagle we saw shared his breakfast with 10 other eagles.

It´s not often you see so many eagle at once, but a couple of times per year you have the chance.

Det är inte ofta det går att fånga så många havsörnar på bild samtidigt, men några gånger per år finns chansen att se dem samlade så många.

Trosas havsörnar är dessvärre hotade av Trosapolitikernas exploateringsplaner för Tureholmshalvön och Västra Trosa. The white-tailed eagle is endangered in Sweden. It´s important that we don´t destroy their living space. Trosa politicians don´t get this yet. They want to help a zillionare to make even more money by exploiting Turholm peninsula and that can be the end of the white-tailed eagle life in Trosa archipelago. We are some people who wants to save Trosa nature and we´re trying to tell our politicians to rethink their position. They are not stupid, they are just temporary lost I hope.
