Första lussekatten – first saffron bun

Första hembakta lussekatten för denna säsong. Mums och vad snabbt den försvann!

First saffron bun for this season. In Swedish we call them Lussekatt. A direct translation of that would be Lucy cat. We eat them at Christmas, but the real saffron bun day is December  13 when we celebrate Saint Lucia day.

I wish I could send you a sample of this delicious bun through my blog, but we’re not there with the technology yet.

    1. It is. We eat it almost only in December, no other months. Don’t ask me why. Maybe the saffron wasn’t available all year around back in the days when they invented the saffron bun.
