First blogger ever?

Do you know his name?

He started his blog all alone.

Then he searched and gain one follower.

Slowly he founded more followers.

After a while he gained a whole bunch of followers, who in return recomended many more to follow the first blogger ever.

The blogger wandered his own way, with a lot of help from his followers, who spread his posts.

The blogger became really popular and his posts were spread everywhere. He had his own voice. He was something new, the followers thought.

All followers and bloggers know what happens to popular bloggers, right?

Yes, exactly right. The trolls came.

They try to shut his blog down. They even try to talk him down. They called him names, but he left them without answer. He defeated them with his silence.

The trolls were such horror evils, that his followers didn’t know how to put a stop to the madness and the bullying. They were sad enough far too scared to think straight.

The trolls did finally find a way to put the first blogger ever down. They killed him in public.

So they thought anyway…

But as you know. A blogger never gives his dream up, and neither did the first blogger ever.

He and his first follower are to thank for carrying forward the first blogposts ever, until this day and probably forever.

Do you know his name?

The first blogger ever?

This is why I’m not on fb

In the early 1980’s I saw a movie on tv that I never forgot. It was certainly not an “Oscar-film” in any way. That is not why I remember the movie.

It was the content, the message, the lesson about human behavior that got stucked in my head.

This memory of the film has helped me through the years to recognize bad structures, that can go very wrong when the wrong leaders pull the strings.

I re-saw (is that a word?) the film couple of years ago and it strucked me how up to date the film message is. I didn’t regret at all not to participating in any kind of closed social media that requires registration to enter.

If I want to join something I want to know what I join and I never join things that cut some people off from participating.

Today many social media plattforms requires registration before you can make yourself a picture of what you are about to join. Oh, then you say, you can always regret and do an unregistration. No, I will still be there in case I should regret again and want to re-join the group. (At least people that tried to exit forever say that’s how it works)

I have no possibility to examine what I’m about to join before I join. I don’t join such groups and when people tell me “oh, you’re not on fb, then you don’t get our news…bla bla bla” as if I’m stupid being outside such great communtiy, I just get even more suspicious of the structures this kind of platform are building.

But wp requires registration, you might say. Yes it does if you start a blog or want to comment and like posts. But if you just want to read and follow blogs everyone can do it without registration. Everyone online is welcome to read open blogs on wp. Everyone has a possibility to explore what wp is about before a decision to open an account.

That’s how I ended up on wp. I read friends blogs and thought it was a nice place, so I decided to open a blog of my own and thanks to that I met all you my wp friends. I haven’t regret it so far.

In Sweden very many people live their lives through fb and that scares me. They think it’s a natural way to live and communicate. Every one that’s not on fb don’t exist in their minds.

I don’t mind being outside that fb madness myself, but I wonder how our future society will be if we cut people out from daily life just because you’re not in the same sorority as the fb’s?

We are still excluding, categorizing people and killing people because of who they are. We are still stuck in the same structures that made it possible for dark forces to rule the world.

If you got three quarters of an hour, please look at this movie and tell me if you don’t understand what I’m trying to say, when I say that the movie tells a story about us today and not some history dark force idiots.

You can also just skip this post and move on.

I just wanted to tell why I’m not on any other social media than wp.

Things that’s not open to everyone is suspicious to me. The things we must hide from people is trollish, if Trolls comes out in the open sun, they burst. Think about that for a while 🙂

And to be clear, I don’t mind if you joined social media, it’s your choice and mine is to not enter that area. We are all different and we all have different reasons to make choices. That is how it should be.

Have a great day ya all!

How on earth did this happen?

Stats are a fun thing. If you blog for increasing stats you might find this interesting. If you blog for fun and meet new nice wp friends then this won’t interest you a bit.

When you begin  your blog journey the stats are interesting. How many read your blog? From how many countries? What do they read? Such stats can be helpful if you don’t know where your blogging is going or if you don’t know what do fill your blog with.

In the beginning you will jump high of happiness every time your stats increase just a little bit. A new follower! One more view than you had yesterday! A new country flag in your stats!

After a while you might get greedy and the stats data occupies your mind. How can I grow my blog? You already write excellent posts, but too few seems to find your genius writing and your perfect pictures. How come?

You try to follow new blogs in the hope of them finding your blog and follow back. You try to visit as many posts as you can and press like on the ones you like in hope of them liking your posts back.

You find big blogs and try to interact by follow, liking and leave comments in hope of many of the big blogs readers notice you and pay your little blog a visit.

All this will effect your stats, but it won’t grow your blog to enormous stats in comparison to your efforts of following other blogs and leave likes on millions of posts.

I think you will find that your active time for achieving big stats will erase your fun time blogging.

So how can you draw attention to your blog and still have fun?

Visit and read blogs that you find interesting. Check out the comments on posts that interests you. Make comments where you find you have something to say. A Howdy over at Jims blog is quite enough to start a nice conversation fo an example. You will find manynice  people to talk to. Most of them will answer your comments if you’re not rude.

That will grow your blog in long terms, not fast but steady and slow.

The real boom stats effect often comes when doing what I just wrote and on top of that press like on other commenters comments that you like. That’s the real Here I am, I have a blog that you might want to visit-trick. It surprises me everytime when I have done a visit other blogs and take time to read and like other comments-session.

It’s amazing cause I haven’t even done a new post then for. While. Still new people find it worth visit my blog with several days old posts to read.

Yesterday evening I took a one and a half hour reading blogs time including reading comments and like them. Today after hlf a day it looks like this in the stats.

A normal day without posting a new post I have about 50-60 views or less. A day with a new post the stats shows around 100 views. Today it’s already up at over 180 views without new posts so far. I will mess this stats up now when I press publish on this post though.

So my conclusion is. Never mind stats. Blog and have fun!

Meet & greet at 2200 followers milestone :)

We are now over 2200 follwers of this blog. I can’t believe those numbers and actually I think I’m right. I don’t tink 2200 individuals constantly follows my blog. I think the number show how many that have pressed the follow button or chosed the email follow alternative. I think many of them forgot all about it after a while but didn’t go back to unpress follow button.

But anyway it’s very nice too se how many of you that is actually here talking to me and read my post. I try to do my best to read your interesting blogs when I have time.

Don’t wish your blog to grow if you don’t have unlimited time for blogging.

I learn so much from you all so thanks for being here.

Let’s have a meet & greet at this 2200 follower milestone.

Leave your link to your blog or any other blog that you want bloggers to visit.

Check out the links others have pasted in the comments and you will find new blogs and they will find you if you leave a like and or a comment or two.

Interacting is the best way to find readers to your blog and the best ways finding nice people in the blog sphere 🙂

Happy blogging

How to get a boom milestone

Stats are fun sometimes.

Stay away from blogging couple days and your stats will drop for sure.

Then return to blogging and create some posts and then visit some of your friends blogs to read, leave likes and comments.

What happens?

This

A wow milestone until you check the stats

A fairly normal blog day in stats.

But it’s fun getting boom milestones anyway even if it’s kind of fake.

Anna

Will we make it this year?

Last years total stats

Number of viewa 29588.

Stats today December 4

Views number 29327.

December isn’t over yet, so we atill have a chance to beat last years number of views.

Not that I’m counting….hehehe. Somehow I do, but blogging is all about having fun, not counting numbers in stats. The number of views depends on how much you post and interact with other bloggers. This year I didn’t find as much time as last year to hang out here with all of you, so that’s what the stays shows. My lack of time to interact.

Anna

Not a clever way to blog…

…but a nice way to blog

I blog because of you all, not for the stats. I like when you come visit my blog and I like visiting your blogs and check out how you’re doing all over the world. You teach me new things everyday. Thank you 🙂

So what’s not a clever way to blog?

This

When I make a new post on my blog many of you leave likes that shows up in my wp app notifications. From there I can click my way to your blogs and read your posts, look at your photos in the post and very often I like what I read and see so I leave a like or two on your blog and hopefully also a 🇸🇪 in your country stats 🙂

What’s not clever about that?

I think it’s clever in the meaning it’s nice to pay a visit back when you have visited my blog. But it’s not a smart way to collect stats numbers in visitors and likes. You have already visit my blog and maybe you left a like or two. You won’t be back until my next post.

The stats clever way to blog is to visit other bloggers blogs that still not have visit my blog. I do that too sometimes, but first of all I want to check out the bloggers that leave likes on my posts and after that my blogging time is up.

So I don’t care about collecting increased stats, I care about you and how you are doing on your blogs 🙂

You see, I’m not a smart blogger, or maybe I am. I have fun when I’m here with you, that has to be a smart way to blog!

New milestone – over 2100 followers

Every followers milestone is stunning for me. I started this blog long ago and for the first years I didn’t have more than about ten followers. How come?

I didn’t interact with any blogger. I just posted and posted and posted. Very few likes and even fewer followers showed up in the stats.

But then I started to realize I could visit other blogs. After that I learned it wasn’t scary to leave a comment or a like on blogs. I also realized that I could learn something from other bloggers.

That was the start of the real blog journey to this milestone of reaching over 2100 followers from all over the world.

It’s an never ending universe that I plan to keep traveling through. Thank you all for being here with me 🙂

If you want people to find your blog, please leave the link to your blog in the comments.

Every followers milestone I make a meet and greet session, so grab the chance to tell us who you are and where we can find your blog. If you want us to visit your blog.

Happy blogging!

Anna

Slow day in stats

This morning I got zero views again.

A little later I got one view.

Many hours later I got 4 views.

Why am I telling you this?

Because the stats says that I’m not here on wp enough time right now. If you want high  numbers in your stats you have to be here in the blog sphere and interact a lot.

I’m not here for the stats numbers. I’m here for the chance to show you my art and the chance to talk to you and read your blogs.

So when I’m away from here I miss you, so I will always be back. When I’m not here I search for time to be here 🙂

Hope to be back soon

Anna

Amazing, just totally amazing!

We must be a small world. It feels like I have traveled all over the world just by blogging away in a way that we all do. I can sit in my little corner of the world and reach out so far. It’s unbelievable but also truly amazing.
We can interact with each other no matter where in the world we are. That must be a true peace project I think.

Just look at this. This is my favorite stats. The map showing where you all come from.

To me this is just wow stats!

It like the never ending olympics country flag parades.

I never regret I started blogging. This is the fun part. Talking to people from all over the world. Thank you for being here all of you!

Common sea buckthorn – Havtorn

The dry summer didn’t stop the common sea buckthorn to make some berries this year. That is nice to see.

The Chantarelles have a hard time showing up this year. Too dry summer I think. The other day we found a few, so they maybe come around in bigger amount later if the rain comes back. We had some rainy days lately, so maybe we will find more Chantarelles.

If you wonder were I’ve been lately you can figure it out by looking at this

I’ve been away from the blogsphere far too long, but so much other things in life takes time too. As a comfort I know Ive not been selfish. I have spent time helping others both at work and in the free time. So it’s well spent time and not wasted time.

I hope to be back soon. I have more butterfly pictures and i want to do some new drawings  too, so I can show you. And I definitely want to read your blogs. I miss that reading right now.

Have a great day, evening, night or morning wherever you are 🙂

Anna

Another day away from blogging

Beat this stats!

With over 2000 followers of this blog it’s quite an achievement to get zero stats.

I don’t put in any weight in this. I know it happens when I’m not around here on wp.

In next post I will show you what I did instead of being here.

You decide if I made the right choice or not 😉

Anna

This happens sometimes

When I’m not here on wp as much as I want to, this happens. From way over 100 views per day to 2 views a morning after a away-from-wp-period.

That’s totally fair. Blogging is about interacting and if you’re not active or interactive you will receive zero stats or very small stats numbers.

I know how to increase the number of views, I just have to get time to do it.

When I have the time I will do this:

1. Make a post, hopefully one that is interesting to read.

2. Make sure I answer all your comments. Please let me now if you never get an answer, then your comment may have disappeared from my notifications.

3. Visit your blogs, like and also leave comments if I thonk I have something to say.

4. After a day or two I check stats and see that the number of views increased.

Then I start all over again.

When I only do one or two thing on the list I don’t get so much better stats. It’s when I do all four things I get fun stats numbers.

But the number is not what I’m here on wp for. It’s all of you. Meeting you in the comments are the upside of blogging. I learn so much from you. Thank you!

Anna

We are now over…

…2000 followers of this blog

That’s fantasy numbers for me. It’s all your doing. By sharing my posts, comment and like my posts and interact in every other way in the blogginf sphere you made those numbers. I’m not on any other social media, so it’s your sharing and interacting that draw new readers and followers to this blog. I just write the posts and try to interact with you as often as I can. It’s time consuming but very fun and delightful. Thank you all for being here 🙂

You are all stars in the blogging universe

How did you find my blog and how do we find your blog?

Leave your link in the comments if you want new readers to your blog 🙂

Anna

How do I find you?

Have you ever wondered how people find your blog?

I can tell you that most of the visitors on my blog comes from wp reader. You probably use the wordpress app on your digital device or use wordpress on your computer. If you find my blog posts in your reader, the stats says x views comes from wp reader.

If you happen to find my posts through reblogs the stats says from which blog. If someone has shared a link on fb the stats says fb sent visitors over to my blog if they click the link on the fb post.

If you read my blog through your browser the stats only shows views and visitors numbers.

Here’s a normal week stats

Here’s a boom! week where one of my Save Trosa nature friends did several linkbacks from a fb page

So, how do I find your blogs?

Very often I go there by clicking further on the notifications. I know, it’s a lottery for you to get the chance that I click further on your notification. If I see the notification when you liked a post and I have time to read blogs, you might get a visit from me. But if I don’t have time reading blogs after I posted the chance is big that the first numbers of likes go under the visible list before I can click further.

But if I post often you get new chances to be visible in the notifications and new chances for me to click further to get to your blog.

If you leave a comment on my blog or I leave a comment on your blog and you press like button on the comment, you get a bigger visibility in the notifications. Very often you are alone on such notification or share it with one or two others.

If I have enough time (when ever that happens???????) I go to my reader and check out new post from blogs I follow or blogs I don’t have yet discovered.

You maybe find my blog when I press like, leave a comment or two or press like button on comments. I probably show up in your notifications and you womder who on earth is this. Your curiosity takes over and you have to check out the blog I have 😉

Anna

I haven’t figured out why it says follow and follows (in Swedish följ och följer). I have pressed follow on almost every blog I had the chance to visit. I press that again and again on some blogs but it still says I’m not following. That’s weird.
