A magic evening in archipelago

I live in a place that is heaven on earth. Some evenings are magic. When you go down to the seaside you can, if you are carefully and quiet, be part of nature. At least it feels like that when the birds around you don't take a hike as soon as they see you. I… Continue reading A magic evening in archipelago

This is why I’m not on fb

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICng-KRxXJ8 In the early 1980's I saw a movie on tv that I never forgot. It was certainly not an "Oscar-film" in any way. That is not why I remember the movie. It was the content, the message, the lesson about human behavior that got stucked in my head. This memory of the film has… Continue reading This is why I’m not on fb

Early digital drawing

Found an old piece of digital drawing from 2011. I haven't been around much here with you my friends in a couple of days. Hope to be back soon, but the so called real life takes very much time right now.  Happy blogging and thanks for always being here whenever I'm here 🙂  Anna

Reuse art

Sail away

Reuse art on cardboard I found an old painting. I ilke it. Makes me remember summer days. We're in a rainy month now. We need the rain, but the darkness this time of year gets even darker with the rainy clouds. So I try to lighten up inside by remember summer days 🙂 Anna

Sailboat season starts

Today I saw a red sailboat with white sails in the afternoon sun. So beautiful and the longing for a warmer and brighter season grew stronger. The Spring sun is warm but the winds are still cold. Not warm spring or summer yet. My interpretation of the boat. I paint on rock with chalk crayons.… Continue reading Sailboat season starts

No 17 drawing in my goals for 2017

One more drawing of about a hundred I plan to do. It's not finished yet, but I want to show you this drawing anyway. It's about how diving in the sea of space is not a mysterious journey. You can see the whole dive and that doesn't impress anyone in the spaceship. The handyman up… Continue reading No 17 drawing in my goals for 2017

Puffin

I just saw a nature program on Swedish tv from Hebrides nature where nature and mankind live side by side. They showed lovely puffins that took protection near tourists. When tourists were there to watch the puffins the crows and other birds that eat puffin eggs disappeared.  For those of you who are in Sweden,… Continue reading Puffin

INTRODUCTION

This is the first in what will be a series of posts about Sweden, where I am currently on holiday. If you enjoy this post I recommend that you make Anna’s blog your next port of call.

AN EMBARRASSMENT OF RICHES

Although I have only been in Sweden since Friday night, I already have a huge number of stunning pictures to share. For this first part of my stay I have been in the company of a cousin and his Swedish fiancee Ida. My cousin met me at Stockholm central bus station (Skavsta airport, where my flight landed is too far out of town for him to meet me there, so I got the Flygbussarna into town on Friday night. On Saturday we travelled to an island that has been owned by Ida’s family for some time. This journey entailed a bus to Stavsnas, a boat out to the…

Sweden according to Leslie

Leslie, Swo8 made a comment on Sweden according to Jim that went like this: "I always thought of Sweden of a land of wild, wild men??" You can't say things like that and not expect me to build an image in my head, so here it is in my interpretation:) Swedish vikings 🙂 Do you… Continue reading Sweden according to Leslie

Walpurgis Night

When I was a kid, growing up in my little town Trosa the Walpurgis night was an adventure. On top of our "mountains" the Trosa alpes the City inhabitants lighted a fire as a tradition for many many years. Way back in time when our town was a fishermen community there was an unwritten law… Continue reading Walpurgis Night

New alarm clock?

This time of the year, we know for a fact when Spring has arrived here in my town Trosa, Sweden. We get a new alarm clock. Very efficient, very hard to ignore, but also impossible to control. I'm talking about the seagulls. The come here every Spring, making noise all over town and eventually… Continue reading New alarm clock?
