Old Trosa postcard

Got a postcard with old Trosa in the picture this summer.

I think it’s from early 1900 century. A lot has happened since then.

Much more buildings, much less trees and green fields.

“Ån” is Trosa river, Trosaån. “Statt” is Trosa Stadshotell”. “Kyrkan” is Trosa Church. “Klockstapeln” is bell tower at Trosa church.

Back then the cows drank the water from Trosa river right in the middle of the city.

  1. That is a splendid postcard. 19th Century real photographic (RP) postcards are quite rare – photography was very difficult back then. Well done on producing such a good image of it 🙂

    1. Thank you. I didn’t though of how difficult it was back then to produce pictures. Thanks for letting me know 🙂
