Vintern bjuder på fina fågelbesök längs iskanten ibland. Salskraken dyker upp då och då i sin vitsvarta dräkt.

Winter sometimes means exciting bird visits. Smew appears now and then where the water meets ice.

Nice, we had nine Red Kites today here.

Wow! Nine ones. Must have been a sight. In Swedish, they are called Röd glada. Glada is also a verb for happy 🙂

Yes, it was exciting and thank you for the translation we also call them Rotmilan.

Hi Anna, in the summer we have a very tiny yellow bird that comes and visits us. I don’t know its name.

A beautiful bird. the white costume makes it difficult for the sea eagle to see. We have seen two sea eagles hunting together in the last few days, so impressive. All the sea birds fly away to escape.

The white tailed eagles fly over our place too, and as you say, the sea birds in the water escape when they see eagles coming above them. White tailed Eagles is very active this time of year. Nestbuilding and so on are on their agenda 🙂

Ett nytt namn att lära. Skrakarna är väl annars ovälkomna fåglar här längs kusten.

Kanske tänker du på skarvarna? Skrakarna är mindre invasiva än skarvarna 🙂
