What’s the best gift you’ve given to someone?
What’s the best gift you ever received from someone?
What’s the best gift you still wish for?
What’s the best gift you want to give to someone?
The answer can be anything you like, it doesn’t have to be things, it doesn’t have to be expensive or big, a gift can be anything.
Why do I ask this questions?
Around this time of year when my birthday’s coming up I think of such things. In don’t celebrate my birthday that much any longer. It was fun to have birthdays as a kid, but as a pretend grown up it’s not the same.
I’m not much for presents, I’m not much for having parties, I do like birthday cake though, so a little celebration with cake there is 🙂
Anyway, back to my questions. I ask them because I haven’t figured out if I had ever heard someone telling about the perfect gift, the perfect present.
What is a perfect gift?
Besides world peace.
If you have stories or ideas about this, please tell us in the comments.
In the wp world, comments are perfect gifts 🙂

I think my children. .. the best gifts given, as my son was born on my mothers birthday and my daughter on.jy father in law’s birthday!
And they were the best gifts received too! Much wanted and cherished!!!

You certainly got the perfect gifts!
And when I read your answer I realize we get a perfect gift very early in life, everybody. It’s a simple answer. The perfect gift is LIFE!
No one can give us a bigger thing than LIFE!

It is not an easy poem to write; it will probably be one of my longer ones. 🙂

My perfect gift was discovering my passion in life (which is creating jewelry and inspiring others to create as well).

I know what you mean. I felt enormous joy when I found my soulhome in artmaking. That’s where I belong. In the art making world. That’s a best gift, I agree!

I’m keeping the definition very narrow to a wrapped, bought present – in which case it was a book on Sumo Wrestling which my college friends clubbed together to buy complete with handmade sumo card. I still have both but am no longer in touch with friends. Btw i was very into sumo wrestling at the time. Hello to Fiona, kerry, amelia and sarah whereever they are!

Presents that last long are great and when they carry good memories they last even longer. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Home made hand written/and drawn notes and drawings from my daughter when she was young. I remember one was a felt tip drawing that was a mix of a person and horse… holding a shopping bag, of course.

I can’t think of my favourite gift…I’ve gotten so many treasured ones, it’s difficult to keep track! I can definitely say that the gifts that meant the most were the ones that were from another’s heart and soul to mine, if that makes any sense!
