I know what I’m doing this Sunday morning. No I’m not participating in Vasaloppet, the biggest ski race in Sweden. But I do watch the start and rest of the race on TV.
It’s a race where professionals and amateurs race together.
The start is something unique. Thousands of racers start and release so much energy and expectations when the start signal goes.
Have a great Sunday. Hope you can watch the yotube clip or even find the broadcast of the race somewhere.
People from all over the world participate.
I did a drawing of the start.
Love this tradition! So Swedish ❤️ Watching YouTube while being home having a bad cold (from Sweden 😉 )

Hope you get better soon. How rude of Sweden giving you a cold!

I always look at Vasaloppet on television. This year the finish was very exciting. And so much emotions!

I agree! Every Vasalopp is different and you can never guess from the beginning who’s gonna win. I really like watching the race.

We used to do a fair bit of cross country skiing and down hill as well. Great subject for a drawing Anna.

I did cross country skiing and down hill too back in my youth days. It was fun. Nowadays I don’t find the time for skiing.

I agree. Today I tried to sculpture snow, but it was too cold.

You have to dress for that, Anna.

It was the snow that was to cold to form.

yes the snow has to be wet to do that…

I thought it was because it was plus degree C that day. But the snow was still too cold.

I know. I admire the Ice hotel (in Jukkas Sweden) sculptures artists. They do amazing things in ice that melts away in Spring.
